Did you know …?

* 55% – 75% of your body weight is made up of water.

* Your body needs water to regulate its temperature, protect its organs and tissues, deliver nutrients and oxygen to its cells, remove waste and absorb vitamins and minerals.

* This is how much water you lose each day: 1.5 liters through urine, 1 liter through breathing, sweating and bowel movements.

* Water helps you lose weight. Often, when you feel hungry, you’re actually just thirsty.

Drink a glass of water, wait for about 15 minutes, then eat if you’re still hungry after that. Drinking a glass of water before every meal will help you feel fuller, faster and you eat less.

* Drinking enough water reduces bloating. If your body is constantly dehydrated, it stores extra water as a reserve in anticipation of becoming dehydrated again.

Being inactive is no reason to be complacent about your fluid intake. You can be dehydrated even in a cool environment such as an air-conditioned office.

Humans perspire 24 hours a day and when you don’t realize you’re losing fluids, that’s when it can get dangerous.

As a guideline, you should be drinking:

500 – 600ml 2 hours before your workout.

150 – 200ml every 15 – 20 minutes during your workout.

600 – 700ml immediately after your workout.

Ever wonder how you can lose 10 pounds in one year? Stop drinking one can of pop a day.

One 12-ounce can of pop contains 135 calories and 35 grams of sugar (10 teaspoons of sugar).

If you enjoy pop and feel that you want it to be part of your diet, then this is your decision.

Since pop is now available in all-size bottles, limit your serving size to no more than 12 ounces per day, otherwise you’ll be taking in too much sugar.

If you haven’t tried flavored seltzers and sparkling low-calorie beverages, this may also satisfy your cravings for pop.

Remember Today’s Fast Weight Loss Solution Tip – If you save 135 calories every day, you could lose 10 pounds in one year.
