Too bad that I am not keen on DIY at all, otherwise, I can lose extra pounds through doing home improvements! @.@

If you are a DIY type, you can burn serious calories with the tips given by fitness expert Nicki Waterman and power-tool expert Bosch @MyFastWeightLos while doing DIY home improvements.

Among the many tips  given,  I find the vacuuming tip very helpful.

Vacuuming. Front-to-back vacuum cleaning tones and strengthens your shoulders, chest and core muscles, arms, and lower and upper legs, while side-to-side vacuuming works out all of the above muscles and the large group of muscles in your back.

When vacuuming up your DIY mess, see it as a whole-body workout, as you’re bending down to change the attachments, pushing the machine around and twisting your body to move it into hard-to-reach places.

Vacuuming is one of the household chores that I have to do every month.

In view of its benefits contributed to weight loss after reading the expert’s tips, maybe I should consider vacuuming more often. ^.^

Wuahaha, think twice if you think eating salads can help you lose weight!

Eating salads, especially as your meal star, can cause more harm than good, you know? ^.^

Unfortunately, I have to break the news that salads are one of the worst choices for weight loss. Depending on what time of eater you are, salads can be either extremely high in calories or so calorie/substance-deficient, that they couldn’t even sustain a bird.

Let’s start with the first salad scenario, since many of these meals have so much added junk in them that you end up eating as many calories as a double cheeseburger and fries. By the time you start counting the nuts, creamy dressing, cheese, bacon, dried fruit, avocado, croutons, and seeds on top of the lettuce, you may very well have an 800-calorie meal!

Well, actually you can lose weight with eating salads, just that follow the advice below given by Manuel Villacorta, a registered dietitian (RD) and certified specialist.

So what’s your summer slim-down solution? Make your salad the starter to your meal rather than the star. You do need your veggies, so start with a salad and make sure it is not just plain lettuce. Add fresh vegetables like bell peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, or your particular favorite. And make it colorful so you get a whole range of antioxidants.

Now, don’t stop there. I always advise clients to also order a sandwich or some soup. This makes a complete meal, which will leave you satisfied, energized, and in weight-loss mode!
