Just finished reading an article about The Best Times of Day to Lose Weight, tips given by Doctor Mehmet Oz on ‘The Dr. Oz Show’.

There are many useful tips but I only list tips that I know I will apply in my daily life! :-P

When is the Best Time to Exercise During the Day?

Doctor Oz said the answer at 6:35 a.m., which is right after you weigh yourself. When you exercise in the morning, you are burning fat from your body in a different way. He explained that when you eat breakfast first before exercising, you would first have to burn the calories from the food before you get to the fat.

When is the Best Time to Eat Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner?

Doctor Oz said that the body has a circadian rhythm that works with our eating patterns. If you wake up at 6:30 a.m., you should eat breakfast at 7:30 a.m.; next, you should eat lunch at noon, and finally eat dinner at 6:30 p.m.

If you delay the times that you should eat your meals, you are going to get hungrier than normal and will increase the chances that you will overeat. You should have breakfast within an hour of waking up and have to have dinner more than 3 hours before bed, Doctor Oz added.

When is the Best Time to Boost Metabolism?

Doctor Oz said the best time to boost the metabolism is 8:00 am. He explains that the body is the slowest at this time of the morning, which is why many people drink coffee to help wake up.

He suggests drinking a glass of ice cold water at this time. The icy water in the stomach will force the body warm up the ice water and will help to increase the metabolism. He said that drinking ice-cold water could help a person lose a pound in a year.

When is the Best Time to Go Grocery Shopping?

Dr. Oz said the best time for grocery shopping is at 10 a.m. He said that reason for this is that you are still full from breakfast and the water and your blood sugar levels are at a good level.

Whenever our blood sugar levels are low, you are more likely to buy things that you should not. If you have a grocery list, stick with it.

When is the Best Time to Take a Fiber Supplement?

Dr. Oz said that the best time to take a fiber supplement is at 6:15 p.m., which is 15 minutes before dinner. He explained that the fiber will swell up in the stomach and a person could eliminate the starchy mashed potatoes from the meal. If you saved 70 calories at each meal he said this can help you lose up to 7 pounds in a year.

You are worried and desperate because your once-stop-and-stare body is changing into pear shaped body slowly. In other words, you are getting fatter and fatter.

Hearing people call you “fat mom” or “fat woman” does hurt a lot, right? Perhaps you would rather let people call you “overweight mom” than “fat mom”. No matter which word people use, you can’t change the fact that you are fat, obese or overweight.

I mean eating more meals, preferably 5-6 small meals a day. Of course, you must eat small healthy meals each day.

You probably find it hard to believe that eating more than 3 meals per day could be the solution to speeding up weight loss, right?

The reason is that eating several small healthy meals daily increases your metabolism. By boosting your metabolism your body will burn calories and fat off at a much more consistent and quicker time frame. The faster you burn off calories, the more weight or fat you can shed off even if you eat the same amount of food.

If you skip meals, you will slow down your metabolism. By slowing down your metabolism, you are causing your metabolism to go into survival mode. When this happens, your metabolism will begin to store calories instead of burning them off!

For fast weight loss, you have to increase your metabolism.

In addition to boosting your metabolism, you must also incorporate all of the basic principles here: drinking plenty of water, getting 7-9 hours of sleep every night, cardio and weight training exercising, and proper nutrition.
